Firefox and Memory

There have been complaints written about Firefox's (Fx) memory usage. Some say it's a multi-platform issue, so Mac and Linux users, listen up! :-)

If you notice Fx taking a lot of memory, try running in safe mode. I love Fx's extensions. I use 13 of them myself. However, not all extensions are the same. Some might leak memory. Run in safe mode and see if things change. I feel memory usage will be heavily scrutinized in the next point release.

So what extensions am I running? Here's a list:

A number of these extensions are disabled because I have not went out to find a compatible 1.5 version yet. The Update function is nice. But if an author's update feed isn't working correctly, you have to go find the latest the old fashioned way, go to the extension's home page and find out.

Two other places I go to find the latest extensions is The Extensions Mirror (my favorite) and of course Mozilla's Add-ons site.
