Cowboys beat Saints!

Ok, maybe it's not that way in the NFL, but Texas has beaten Louisiana in the quality of roads. Anyone who lives in the area of these states realize this is obvious, but now it's documented. A survey taken by truckers says Louisiana has the worst highways in the country, and Texas has the best.

There are a couple of points about the survey's results that are strange. I-20 is marked as second best road. From the Dallas multiplex and west, I would agree. The leg from Dallas to Louisiana is one lane short. Things get really bad on that leg when there is construction or worse, a wreck. Can we say 10-mile backup? In Texas, these terrible backups are usually handled by four wheeling it across the grass and onto the access road. Maybe that's why Texas was rated #1 for four-wheelers. The opportunities to off-road abound!

The other point about the survey is the odd results for "Toughest Truck Inspections & Law Enforcement." Texas made the best and worst list. Huh?! Yea, #5 on the toughest and #3 on the worst. How can this be? Tough and soft?
